Taegeuk Pal Jang

Kohn Taegeuk Pal Jang represents the symbol Kohn, meaning the earth. Kohn symbolizes the foundation of all life, where such life forms get their beginning at birth and then return in the end. In other words, the end means a new beginning – all lives return to where they began.

In addition to the techniques in the previous forms, Taegeuk Pal Jang introduces new techniques such as:
  • Forearm supporting middle block
  • Jumping double front kick
  • Single mountain block
  • Uppercut strike
  • Jump front kick
Taegeuk Pal Jang also requires accuracy in footwork as well as show of different jumping kicks; one being a jumping double kick while the other is a jump front kick executed right after a regular front kick.

Move 12 Left double knife hand block, left cat stance
Move 13 A Left front kick
Move 13 B Right middle punch, left front stance
