Note:
This movement may be taught in one of two different ways:
1.
Movements 16
&
18
are side kicks only.
2.
Movements 16
&
18
are side kicks with side punches.
In either case, the arm should extend with the hand in a fist following the side kick.
Place the kicking leg to the front and make
right front stance

left middle elbow target strike

Note:
Once the elbow strike is complete, the tip of the fingers should be right on the tip of the striking elbow. This also applies to
Movement 18B
