Those who choose not to keep the high block up during this kick should pay attention to their arms, both of which should be kept close to the body with good control. The demonstration on the left shows the high block maintained during the kick.
Place the kicking leg to the front and make right short stance (oreun ap sogi) with right middle punch (oreun momtong jireugi).
Note:
It is very easy to take a big step after the kick, resulting in a front stance rather than a short stance. The kick must be well controlled and placed into a short stance.
