What is the Lehigh University Taekwondo Club (LUTKD)?
LUTKD is for Lehigh University students who wish to train in the traditional martial art of Taekwondo. With help of Master Lee Arnold, students train hard to reach their highest potential (and of course, have a good time doing it). The classes are held on the school premises of Lehigh Valley Taekwondo (LVTKD).

Does Lehigh University Taekwondo Club participate in tournaments?
Lehigh University Taekwondo Club participates in the university Taekwondo League called ECTC (formally known as INCTL) as a team since 2003. In ECTC, universities like Yale, Cornell, MIT, and Princeton get together throughout the school year.

ECTC mostly follows WTF rules with some modifications. For more information about ECTC, please visit their website.

For those Lehigh students who are interested in competing, we usually hold special sparring classes.

Students may also choose to compete individually. Tournaments are usually held during spring and fall.

Club members are encouraged to go and support competitors from the club, even if they are not interested in competing themselves. Just watching the tournament is still a great learning experience on its own.
